Doris Savage

Doris C. Savage of Holt, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 16, 2009 at the age of 95. She was born August 2, 1913 the daughter of George and Mary (Ayres) Myers. Doris married Fredrick Savage on September 20, 1936 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1977. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Holt.

Surviving are her daughters; Sandra Sweet of Dimondale, Debra (Gregory) Davis of TX; sons; Jon Savage of Haslett, Richard (Tamara) Savage of Greenville; 17 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; sister, Clarice Abernathy of CO. Along with her husband Doris was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Savage; 2 grandchildren; 5 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns with Pastor Ed Owens officiating, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery in St. Johns. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 PM Thursday.
