Dorna Westbrook

Dorna Lee Westbrook, age 77, left this world to be with our Lord and Savior on August 12, 2009. Born May 24, 1932, the daughter of Ira and Beatrice (Flint) Hoover in Crystal, MI. Dorna was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ovid and the Sheridan VFW Auxilliary Post #5065. She married Russell Westbrook on December 11, 1947 in Luther, MI, and he survives her.

Also surviving are their children, Dawne (Herb) Hicks of College Station, TX, Nadi Hill of Haslett, Dianna (Butch) Frank of Williamston, Russell Westbrook II, of Williamston, Ira (Joni) Westbrook of Owosso, Timothy Westbrook of Muskegon Heights, Doran (Debby) Westbrook of Carson City, twenty four grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Loyal (Neva) Hoover, Henry (Linda) Hoover, one sister, Garnet (Marty) Levandoski, two brothers-in-law, Jim Westbrook and Vernon (Mary) Westbrook, three sisters-in-law, Violet Flynn, Gladys (Don Robbins) Moore, Kathy (Charles) Hendricks and many nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2009 at the United Methodist Church of Ovid, with Pastor Greg Buchner officiating. The family will receive friends, Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Houghton Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI.
