Dorothea Sanger

Dorothea L. Sanger, age 91, of Wheeler, MI passed away on October 4, 2012 at Hearts Content Adult Foster Care Home in Breckenridge, MI.

Funeral Services will be at Wheeler Free Methodist Church, Wheeler, MI on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Amy Thompson officiating. Burial will take place at Wheeler Township Cemetery, Wheeler, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI.

Dorothea was born in Coe Township, Michigan on July 19, 1921, the daughter of Eldred A. and L. Glayds (Throop) Clark. Dorthea married Hulan C. Sanger on February 22, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2006 after 67 years of marriage. Dorothea was a member of Wheeler Free Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and served for many years as church pianist/organist.

Dorothea is survived by 2 sons; Joseph and Ruth Sanger of Wheeler, MI, and Mark and Barbara Sanger of Midland, MI, daughter Barbara and Robin Thompson of Wheeler, MI, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Vida Ludwick.
