Dorothy Conway

Dorothy Jean Conway age 81 of St. Louis, Michigan died Monday April 12, 2004 at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, Michigan.
Dorothy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 30, 1922 the daughter of Hiram D. and Florence G. ( Passmore ) Straight. She attended St. Marya�(TM)s Catholic School in Saginaw, Michigan.
On December 20, 1941 she married Orison Conway in Anglola, IN. Dorothy and her husband owned & operated Conwaya�(TM)s Supermarket. She also worked at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis for several years as a nurse aide. She & Orison enjoyed working at Tawas Pointe State Park as camp hosts for many years. She loved her grandchildren dearly. She resided most of her life in Shady Shored Park in Lupton, MI, until moving to St. Louis in 1967.
Survivors include her husband; Orison Conway of St. Louis, MI, her 3 sons, Melvin & Pamela Conway, Flushing, MI, Douglass & Linda Martens-Conway of Oscoda, MI, Randy Conway of Lansing, MI, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and 2 sisters.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
