Dorothy Jane Curtis, age 89, of St. Louis, MI died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis, MI.

There will be a private graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan.

Dorothy was born in Isabella County, Michigan on December 7, 1924, the daughter of George and Cora (Meyer) Nartker. She worked as a seamstress for Detroiter Mobile Homes. The Gingerbread House, and Martins Mens Shop in Alma. She made beautiful draperies and altered and repaired clothing for "her customers", her friends, and her family. It often seemed she could work magic with a needle and thread. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, cooking, trips to the casino with her sisters, and spending time with her family. Her cooking was appreciated, especially her noodles, chicken, potato salad, and cole slaw served at family gatherings. Dorothy was proud of her family and liked to share stories about them.

Dorothy is survived by her sons; Richard McClintic and Frank and Jill McClintic both of St. Louis, MI, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister Arlene Wieferich, brother John and Shirley Nartker, and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Jerald Ray (Jerry) McClintic in 2011, her parents, a sister Rose Marie Kornexl, 3 brothers; Don, Robert, and Bill Nartker, and a grandson Mike Mayville.
