Dorothy Lucille Fitnich, age 85, of Corunna, MI passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Owosso, MI on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Susan Kingsley will officiate. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel.

Dorothy was born in Owosso, Michigan on February 3, 1925, the daughter of Floyd and Flossie (Albaugh) Holden. Dorothy resided most of her life in Owosso.

Being with family and friends was always an important part of her life. She will always be remembered for her warm smile. Dorothy worked for General Telephone for 30 years, retiring in 1983 as a Supervisor. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary and volunteered her time with the Red Cross.

She is survived by her daughter Carol and Jim Zook of Mason, MI; grandson Kerry and Sue LeRoy of Lowell, MI; granddaughter Heather and Rob Johnson of Ovid, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob LeRoy, Kenny Chunko and Jeramy Chunko; sister Lois Carr of Owosso, MI.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Holden.
