Dorothy "Dottie" J. Johnson age 73 of Prescott, Michigan formerly of Corunna, Michigan died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Bortz Healthcare, West, Branch, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Pastor John Walworth will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 4, 2008, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
Dottie was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 7, 1934 the daughter of Robert and Rose ( Ellsworth ) Bauman. She resided most of her life in Corunna and graduated from Western High School in Detroit, Michigan with the class of 1953. Dottie married Wayne Johnson on March 17, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. Dottie worked for Auto Painters Supply in Owosso for a number of years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and baking cookies for her family. Dottie's favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Johnson of Prescott, MI, 2 daughters; Deb & Elmer Walworth of Corunna, MI, Sandi & Ray Harrington of Arden, NC, 2 sons; Ron & Patti Johnson of Charlotte, MI, Bob & Jenifer Johnson of Prescott, MI, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nephew Bob York of Owosso, MI, and 2 close cousins; Fran Kondratko, Barb & Paul Hatton. She is predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
