Dorothy Stella Jones age 87 of Alma, Michigan died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Schnepp Health Care Center St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Captain Allen Hanton and Mr. Keith Wise will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Alma, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Dorothy was born in Kenmare, North Dakota on September 8, 1919 the daughter of Hiram and Gertrude ( Williams ) DeCamp. She moved to Gratiot County, Michigan when she was 7 years old and attended Alma Schools. Dorothy married Ansel Jones on January 16, 1937 in Alma, Michigan. He died in 1983. She was a mother and a housewife. She had also worked at Schnepps for 11 years. She enjoyed playing cards with friends at Pine Villa. She also liked shopping, spending time at the cabin at Eight Point Lake and the hunting cabin in Kalkaska. Dorothy attended the Salvation Army Church, Alma, MI.

She is survived by her son Jerry & Diane Jones of Houghton Lake, MI, daughter Joyce & Sam Cooley of Greenville, MI, 5 grandchildren; Randy Mizer of Georgia, Lori & Mike Nixon of St. Louis, MI, Chris & Joyce Mizer of Georgia, Todd & Marci Jones of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Ryan & Rachel Jones of Pleasant Lake, MI, and 10 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Ansel Jones and 11 brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made to Salvation Army Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
