Dorothy Marianna Katt age 81 of Breckenridge, Michigan died Sunday, February 04, 2007 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at: Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, Michigan on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary being prayed on Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Rev. Fr. Kevin Maksym will officiate and burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, Michigan.
Dorothy was born on October 22, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Julian & Mary ( Clarke) Rohde. She attended St. Adriana�(TM)s Parochial School in 1939 and graduated from Harper High School with the class of 1943 in Chicago, Illinois and resided most of her life in Gratiot County since 1952. She married Anthony "Tony" Katt on November 6, 1944 at St. Adriana�(TM)s Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois, Tony predeceased her, along with raising her children, she had worked for the D&C Store in St. Louis, She enjoyed dancing and going to the senior citizen dances with her dance partner Herb Bott. She was a member of Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, Michigan.
Survivors include her children, Karen & Wayne Crosby of Midland, Joyce & Mike Tanner of Charlotte, Larry & Marilyn Katt, of Merrill, David & Connie Katt of Breckenridge, Steve & Jeannie Katt of Ithaca, Scott & (Linda Bigelow) Katt of Breckenridge, Roberta & Jim Rockcole, of Macomb, Chris & Brent Myers of St. Louis, son in law, Jace Crouch of Alma, 2 brothers, John & Marge Rohde of Breckenridge, Jerry & Mary Jane Rohde of Breckenridge, several nieces & nephews, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 daughter Antoniette "Toni" Crouch died in 2003.
