Dorothy W. Oswald age 85 of Lake Isabella, formerly of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Central Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Pam Morningstar will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2004 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Dorothy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 14, 1919 the daughter of Cecil Staley & Ethel Merle ( Boughner ) Steele. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, MI. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1937. Dorothy married Donald Oswald in Beaverton, MI in June of 1937. She was a homemaker and she helped Don on the farm. She and Don loved to play cards and dance. She enjoyed her family and was a wonderful cook. She was a member of Moose Lodge #1566 in St. Louis, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Don Oswald of Lake Isabella, MI, 3 children; Ron & Norma Oswald of Lake Isabella, MI, Terry & Barb Oswald of Lake Isabella, MI, Carolyn & Rick Lantz of Lake City, MI, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, & 1 Great Great Grandson. She is predeceased by her parents.
