Dorothy M. Ries age 85 of St. Louis, Michigan died Sunday August 1, 2004 at Pine River Health Care in St. Louis, Michigan.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday August 7, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Pastor Lillian French will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, August 7, 2004 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Dorothy was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 12, 1919 the daughter of Ray & Hattie ( Curtis ) Hudson. She married Marion C. Ries in St. Louis, Michigan on August 24, 1938. Dorothy was a homemaker. She loved to read and play cards with friends and neighbors. She was a member of Eastern Star of St. Louis, Michigan. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband Marion C. Ries of St. Louis, MI, daughter Patricia & Ed Slack of Lansing, MI, daughter Kathryn & Ray Sitts of Wheeler, MI, daughter Shirley & Ed Harper of Houghton Lake, MI, daughter Rosalie & Skeeter Miller of Lansing, MI, son James Ries of Walker, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, daughter Sharon Ries and daughter-in-law Patricia Ries.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donora�(TM)s choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
