Dorothy Marie Wilber, age 81, of Ovid, Michigan passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family
Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, Michigan on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Minister Eric Wilber will officiate. Burial will follow at Duplain Township Cemetery, St. Johns, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 21, 2010 from 6-8 PM and Monday, November 22, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 14, 1929, the daughter of Alexander and Marie (Spade) Roth. She graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary High School in Saginaw. Dorothy and Robert were married January 3, 1948 in Owosso, Michigan and resided most of her life in Ovid.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling, loved to bake and can food. She always donated to the Community Thanksgiving Dinner offered in Ovid at the VFW Hall. Dorothy shared her caring heart by bringing special treats to the residents of Ovid Healthcare on all the holidays. She lived to care for and give to all family and friends. Dorothy was an avid book reader and donated them to the Ovid Public Library.

She is survived by her husband Robert Wilber, Sr. of Ovid, Michigan, son Robert and Gloria Wilber, Jr. of Owosso, Michigan, son Gary Wilber of Ovid, Michigan, daughter Anna and Ron Nethaway of Elsie, Michigan, son Jerome and Cindy Wilber of Elsie, Michigan, son John Wilber of Ovid, Michigan, 8 grandchildren; Tricia Lynn, Lisa, Robert A., Shanna, Hanna, Jerome, Jr., Eric, Joshua, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Betty Wamback of Saginaw, Michigan, brother Alex and Darlene Roth, Jr. of Freeland, Michigan, brother Jim and Jean Roth of South Branch, Michigan, sister Clarice and Duane Vassold of Freeland, Michigan, sister Peggy and Arthur Weber of Freeland, Michigan. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry Lyn, son-in-law Jeff Shea, and grandsons; Jeffery & Kenneth.
