Dorothy Louise Yelsik

       Dorothy Louise Yelsik always Dottie, age 80, of Glendale, California, formerly of Ithaca, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

   Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI with Pastor EJ Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

     Dottie was born on February 23, 1943 in Ashley, Michigan, the daughter of Julius Milan and Geraldin Marie (Huntoon) Yelsik. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1960.

     Dottie was a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines TWA for over 20 years. She retired from Fuller Theological Seminary – Office of Publications. Dottie loved her family and she was always the one to travel home to see everyone. She loved running and finished many marathons including one in Honolulu, Hawaii. She loved her Lord and Savior. Dottie was baptized into the Adventist faith at the age of 10. Her family is sure going to miss her.

     She is survived by 2 sisters: Rose Marie (Robert) Phillips of Laconia, NH, Evelyn (Yelsik) Corder of Albuquerque, NM, 1 brother John (Beverly) Yelsik of Chelsea, MI, 2 nieces: Michelle (Phillips) Collins and Amy Corder (Gerard) Zacarias, 1 nephew Patrick Phillips, and great nephew Aiden Zacarias.  She was predeceased by her mother Geraldine Swan and step father Dale Swan, her father Julius Yelsik, and brother in law Charles Corder.
