Dorothy Yerrick

Dorothy Louise Yerrick was born on July 9, 1924 to Ruth Roeser and Ernest Everts in the small town of Saginaw, MI. After a short illness, she went to heaven on June 18, 2018.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Lyle R. Yerrick and her sons: Jerry Yerrick, Niles Attenberger and granddaughter Tracey Largo.  She is survived by her daughter in law June Attenberger, grandsons: Mark and Troy Attenberger, great grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.

Dorothy was self employed in Ovid, MI while operating her own beauty salon out of their home for many years. She and Lyle moved to Arizona and into the Oasis Mobile Home Park in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1981. They were very involved with the general care of the parks operation and maintenance on a volunteer basis, with Lyle serving on the board of directors. Dorothy was active with the parks Social Club and for years supervised the parks interior appearance.  Both paved the way for the spirit as well as the amenities of the unique Oasis Park Community in the heart of Scottsdale.  They both shared in the joy of fellowship as volunteers to help guide the Oasis Park Community.

When Dorothy and Lyle moved to the Phoenix area to enter semi-retirement, they joined Creighton United Methodist Church as associate members on September 25, 1994 and were very faithful in their weekly attendance. They also continued to maintain their full membership with their home church in Michigan. In Michigan Dorothy taught Sunday School, was active in women's fellowship and served on numerous work areas within the church, throughout those years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bridge United Methodist Church, Arizona on July 21, 2018, beginning at 11:00 A.M. with a reception for family and friends following.  Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI on July 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
