Dorothy Jane Ziegler, age 92, of Alpena, MI went to her eternal home Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Dorothy was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 21, 1916, the daughter of Glenn and Mae Page. She resided most of her life Detroit, MI, later moving to Alpena, MI. Dorothy loved knitting, decorating cakes, playing cards, and caring for her flowers. She enjoyed her home at Lost Lake and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by 2 sons; Richard and Mary Ziegler of Corunna, MI, David and Linda Ziegler of Dallas, TX, 3 grandchildren; Kelly and Chris Rowe of Corunna, MI, Erica and John Babb of Chesterfield, Missouri, Kim and Mario Iulianelli of Macomb, MI. Dorothy is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Herman Ziegler, a granddaughter Paige Ziegler, a great-granddaugher Madelyn Rowe, 2 brothers and a sister.
