Dr. Joseph Hubbard

Dr. Joseph W. Hubbard, age 68, of Ithaca, Michigan died Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel on Tuesday, April 14th at 4:00 p.m., family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 p.m. unitl the time of services.

Joseph was born in St. Johns, Michigan on November 3, 1940, the son Wilbur G. and Rebah (Abbey) Hubbard. He graduated from Ithaca High School, did his undergraduate from Western Michigan University and received his Masters & Ph.D. from Southwest University in New Orleans, LA. He resided most of his life in Ithaca, Michigan.

He worked as a psychotherapist and teacher and he enjoyed coaching all types of sports, Doc enjoyed going to carnivals around the state and he loved to travel.

He is survived by 2 sisters Elizabeth and Dan Martin of St. Johns, Jan and Stanley Myers of Ithaca, MI; special friend Cheryl and Darrel Mockridge of Ithaca, MI; 2 nieces & 2 nephews Tarah & Clay Martin, Tom & Shelly Myers.
