Earlin Carl Jewell age 56 of Alma, Michigan died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Gratiot Medical Center Alma, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Mr. Brad Vibber will officiate with burial at Pritchard Cemetery Elwell, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 6-8 P.M.

Earlin was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 17, 1949 the son of Herman and Letha ( Swartz ) Jewell. He resided most of his life in St. Louis, Michigan and attended St. Louis Schools. Earlin married Debbie Troyer on June 8, 1978 in St. Louis, Michigan. He worked as a roofer for several years. He loved his grandchildren, children, games, cards, oldies music, and stock car racing. He loved to bowl and he was a good cook.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Jewell of St. Louis, MI, 3 children; Keith & Jami Jewell of St. Louis, MI, Kelly & Joshua Recker of Blanchard, MI, Earl Jewell of Alma, MI, 4 grandchildren; Kobey, Kaylee, Kalvin, and Bailey, 3 sisters; Dorothy & Lloyd Long of St. Louis, MI, Maxine & Darrel Strayer of Riverdale, MI, Sandra & Dan Davis of Shepherd, MI, and 1 brother Max Jewell of Clare, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers Herman & George.

Memorials may be made the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
