Eddie Giles

Eddie Albert Giles age 53, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes-Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, Michigan on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Eddie was born in Lansing, Michigan on February 11, 1963, the son of Albert and Arlene A. (Miller) Giles.  Eddie resided most of his life in Lansing, Michigan and was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School.  Eddie loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Being with his family and friends was very important to him.  Eddie also loved music and his pets.  He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others and always making others smile.  Eddie worked at ASC Automotive Factory in Lansing and Gaylord Farm in Grand Ledge.

He is survived by his mother Arlene Giles of Lansing, MI, daughter Brittany Giles-Hastings of Florida, 3 sisters; Cindy and Larry Sheldon of Lake Odessa, MI, Lori and Eugene Watson of Williamsburg, MI, Ronda Givens and Donavan Walker of Owosso, MI, niece and guardian Nicole and Jerry Morgan of Owosso, MI, nephew Jason Giles of Vancouver, WA, niece Crystal Givens and Chris Loberg of Owosso, MI, nephew Larry and Gabrielle Sheldon Jr. of Lake Odessa, MI, and niece Heather Watson of Traverse City, MI.  Eddie is also survived by several great nephews, great nieces and friends, especially the Uribe Family.  Eddie was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents.
