Edna McDiarmid

Edna M. McDiarmid, age 85, of Ovid, MI died Saturday, July 27, 2013. Born November 15, 1927 to Leo and Lucy (Gage) Hanes, she married Bruce McDiarmid on January 26, 1946 in Ovid. Edna worked and retired from Schmeltzers in St. Johns.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce; son, Jay McDiarmid of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Donna (Tony) Willett of Owosso; grandchildren, Terry Willett, Shawn (Nina) Willett, Shelley (Stewart) Olger, Marty (Ron) Kailbourne, and Alaina and Molly; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Esther Rittiger; and many nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bruce Lindauer; 2 unnamed twin daughters; and 2 grandchildren, Steven and Jessica Lindauer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 31, 2013 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, MI 48866. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Road, Suite 150, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
