Edna Peak

Edna M. Peak, age 82, of Alma, MI passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Forest Hill Church of Christ on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor John Robinson will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Visitation will be held Monday September 17, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel, St. Louis, MI.

Edna was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on July 10, 1930, the daughter of Ted and Hazel (Casner) Richardson. Edna married Paul "Jim" Peak on August 27, 1948 in Shepherd, MI. Jim passed away on March 9, 1966. She resided most of her life in Gratiot County.

Edna loved working outside in her flower gardens, bird watching and had a strong affection for all animals. Her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to her life. She attended Forest Hill Church of Christ Alma, MI .

Edna is survived by her daughter Penny and Dick Geiger of St. Louis, MI; daughter Linda and Terry Moon of Alma, MI; daughter Rhonda and Stan Beckstead of Elwell, MI; son Dan and Shannon Peak of Shepherd, MI; son Dave and Cindy Peak of Alma, MI; daughter Lori and Mike Kendall of Barryton, MI; 9 grandchildren Tim & Jeff Moon, Jeremy & Scott Beckstead, Jeremy Ferguson, Paul Peak, Becky Maliskey, Jodi Alexander and Amanda Kendall; 11 great-grandchildren;

Edna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
