Edward Crackel

Edward F. Crackel age 59 of Owosso, Michigan died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Rev. Fr. John Fain will officiate with burial at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 5:30 P.M.

Edward was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 15, 1948 the son of Leo Francis and Carmaleta Marie ( Cunningham ) Crackel. He resided most of his life in the Owosso area and graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1966. Edward married Julie Ann Huntoon on September 5, 1975 in Ovid, Michigan. Ed worked for AT&T for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He was an avid reader, enjoyed sky diving and he was very active in AA. Ed loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, as well as AA, VFW in Corunna, and the Union Local with AT&T.

He is survived by his wife Julie Crackel of Owosso, MI, 1 son Aaron & Kristin Crackel of Owosso, MI, grandchildren; Brooklynn Crackel, Drew Crackel, brother Thomas & Martha Crackel of Alma, MI, sister Rita & George Keck of Bannister, MI, father-in-law Lyle Huntoon of Ovid, MI, 2 sisters-in-law; Teresa & James Borton of St. Johns, MI, Bonnie & Robert Harper of Owosso, MI, 2 brothers-in-law; Fredrick & Robin Huntoon of Ovid, MI, Lyle & Angela Huntoon Jr. of St. Johns, MI, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and mother-in-law Shirley Huntoon.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
