Edward Jay Sipka

     Edward Jay “Ed” Sipka, age 70, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.
     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 15, 2024, with Pastor Steve Ezop officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Elba Township, MI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
      Edward was born in Owosso, Michigan on February 5, 1954, the son of Andrew J. and Ruth Marie (Cook) (Sipka) Monroe. He graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School and lived in the Elsie area most of his life.
      Ed worked for Michigan Milk Producers Association for thirty years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, bowling, and was a member of Ashley Sportsman's Club. He was a member of NRA, and an active computer user. He enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. Ed had many friends at MMPA and in the Elsie area, and a special friend Cathy Rae Mead.
     He is survived by his sisters: Christine Wolcott and significant other Craig Humphreys, and Ruth and Jeff Smith; and one brother Andrew Sipka and significant other Donna Potter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
