Edward Tew

Edward "Larry" Tew, age 62, of Owosso, MI died Friday, September 3, 2010 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:02 PM. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2010 from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Clio, Alabama on September 2, 1948, the son of Cliff Foy and Vassie Inez (Campbell) Tew. He moved from Blue Springs, AL to Owosso at the age of 5, and has resided here since. He was the youngest of 12 children. Larry attended Owosso High School, and married Linda Arnold on July 15, 1972. He served in the US Army 1969-1971 and was a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He was a General Motors retiree. Larry was a lifetime member of the Owosso VFW Post#9455. He was an avid hunter and an outdoorsman, and enjoyed many sports, especially U of M.

He is survived by his wife Linda Tew of Owosso, MI, daughter Mandi and Jeff Hallett of Owosso, MI, loving pets Ace, Keylo, and Kitty, sister Genona and Roy Baker of Lennon, MI, sister Peggy Key of Dothan, AL, brother Delano and Barb Tew of Owosso, MI, sister Lois Callard of Owosso, MI, brother Cliff and Lee Tew of Corsicana, TX, brother Rod and Janet Tew of Ovid, MI, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces & nephews. He will be missed by many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters; Barbara, Jeanette, and Jean, and 2 brothers; Doran, Vernon.
