Edwin J. Schomisch, age 91, of Fowler, MI, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2015. Edwin was born April 9, 1923 in Fowler, the son of Edward and Anna Schomisch. Ed enjoyed doing everything with his wife, Agnes. He loved life, the outdoors, his birds, and playing cards. He had a heart as big as his barn. He married his wife Anges Smith in Westphalia, MI. Edwin is survived by his wife, Agnes, of 70 years, his four daughters, Christine Witt, Karen Schomisch, Kathy Schomisch, and Ellen Schomisch (Steve). He cherished and enjoyed his six grandchildren, Dana, Derek (Rachelle), Anne (Steve), Doug, Karah, Sheena (Luke). He adored his eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is his sister, Marie Stevens, sisters-in-law Marie Schomisch and Rosie Schomisch, In-laws Melvin (Dorthea) Smith, Rosaline (Lester) Feldpausch, Pauline (Carl) Feldpausch, Adeline (Bernard) Feldpausch, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edwin was preceded in death by his children, Gary and Ann, son-in-law, Douglas Witt, as well as his brothers, Lester, Leonard and sisters Rose (Leonard) Thelen and Esther (Henry) Theis.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity Church with Fr. Dennis Howard presiding, burial to follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday with a scripture service at 7 p.m., at the Goerge Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes in Fowler. Contributions may be made in memory of Edwin to the charity of the donor's choice.

The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
