Elaine Hosler, age 86, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Owosso, Michigan died Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Hanover, PA.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Susan Kingsley officiating. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 4-8 PM. at the funeral home.
Elaine was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 17, 1924, the daughter of Jean Kay (Wood) and Donald William Van Horn. On August 31, 1946 she married Robert E. Hosler and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2003 after 57 years of marriage. Elaine worked as a registered nurse at Memorial Health and the Owosso Medical Group. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Owosso, MI and attended Hanover Wesleyan Church in Hanover, PA. Elaine loved to crochet, knit and read.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Deborah Hosler of South Boardman, MI, Andrea and Howard Gill of Hanover, PA, daughter-in-law Anita Hosler of Owosso, MI, 5 grandchildren; Scott (Jennifer) Hosler, Adam (Dawn) Hosler, Nicholas Hosler, Heather (Kyle) Petry and Jonathan (Mindy) Gill, 6 great grandchildren; Aaron, Christian & Chloe Hosler, Abigail and Adam Hosler and Leigha Petry. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her son Donald Hosler.
