Elaine Stauffer

Elaine Marie Stauffer, age 54, of Vestaburg, MI passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held at Vestaburg Community School Commons on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 3:30 P.M., with Pastor Tom McNerney officiating.

Elaine was born in Alma, Michigan on March 5, 1960, the daughter of Donald Eugene and Irene Elaine (VanNortwick) Stauffer. Elaine grew up at Rock Lake in Vestaburg, and raised her family there also. She graduated from Vestaburg High School with the class of 1978. Elaine loved her family, was a hard worker, and loved working in her yard and in the garden. Everyone will remember Elaine for her creative craftiness. Elaine was employed at McQueen Adult Foster Home. She previously owned Back In Time Restaurant in Vestaburg.

Elaine is survived by her children; Rikki Stauffer of Vestaburg, MI, Mike Wing of Grand Rapids, MI, Joe and Haleigh Wing of Chesaning, MI, Crystle and Greg McCall of Colorado Springs, CO, granddaughters; Alexis Wing, Andrea Wing, Adriann Stauffer, Rhylee McCall, Ellie Wing, and Faith McCall, mother Irene Stauffer of Vestaburg, MI, sisters; Cheri Graves of Vestaburg, MI, Donna and Dave Little of Cass City, and brother Jim and Kathy Stauffer of Clarkston, MI. She was preceded in death by her son Joshua Stauffer, father Gene Stauffer, brother in law Tim Graves, and her significant other Chester Swindlehurst.
