Elaine Tate age 86 of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Tendercare South Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Phil Maxwell will officiate with burial at Memorial Gardens Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 from 9-11 A.M.

Elaine was born in Ithaca, Michigan on April 2, 1920 the daughter of Frank Elmer and Lillian ( Hegle ) Boyer. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan and graduated from Ithaca High School. Elaine married Dee Forest Tate on March 16, 1940. He died in 1979. She was a homemaker. She loved to play piano and organ in church. She also worked at the A&P Store in St. Louis and Krogers in Alma. Elaine was a past member of the First Baptist Church of St. Louis, MI.

She is survived by her daughter Deeana Aldrich, 4 brothers; Kenneth & Gertie Boyer of Florida, Lowell & Bernice Boyer of Alma, MI, Gwendell Boyer of Ithaca, MI, Don Boyer of Ithaca, MI, 1 sister Janet & Duane White of Ithaca, MI, 3 grandchildren; Angie, Resia, & Katey Jennings of Lansing, MI, and many nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Dee, son Jon Tate, sister Audrey Saxton, and brother Clare Boyer.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of St. Louis, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
