Eleanor Jane Dunevant, age 80, of St. Louis, MI passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Louis First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, Michigan on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Terri Bentley will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday October 9, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel, St. Louis, Michigan.

Eleanor was born in Newaygo County, Michigan on August 1, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Wealthy (Harrison) Overly. Eleanor resided most of her life in St. Louis.

Eleanor worked for Alma Public Schools for over 25 years. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting and crafting in general. Eleanor volunteered her time and served as Past President for the Auxiliary at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Gratiot. She attended First United Methodist Church St. Louis, MI.

Eleanor is survived by 3 daughters; Carol and David Lindstrom of Toledo, OH, Bonnie Noel of Winter Haven, FL, Vicki and Brian Reed of Port Huron, MI, 2 sons; Brian Smith of Pinconning, MI, CSM Stuart Smith of Clio, MI, 12 Grandchildren; 15 Great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother Cornelia Overly, her husband Victor Smith, her husband Ron Dunevant also 7 siblings.
