Elizabeth "Bette" J. Anderson age 87 of Ithaca, Michigan died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Ithaca, MI on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Jules Spleet will officiate with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery Emerson Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. A Vigil Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Bette was born in Powers, Michigan on January 22, 1921 the daughter of Frederick Casper and Kathyrn ( Gloudeman ) Smith. She resided in Ithaca since 1958 and graduated from Powers Spaulding High School. Bette married Raymond Anderson. He died in February of 1989. Bette was a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed gardening. Family was very important to her. Bette was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Ithaca, MI.

She is survived by her children; Mary & Dr. William F. Coyro Jr. of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, Robert & Jeannie Anderson of Ithaca, MI, Elizabeth Anderson of Boulder, CO, Frederick Anderson of Seattle, WA, Kathyrn & Robert Lenneman of Alexandria, VA, Berina & Ian Colverson of Huddersfield, UK, John & Lauren Anderson of Seattle, WA, Harriet & Dr. Arthur Vogel of Seattle, WA, Raymond Anderson of Ithaca, MI, Charles Anderson of Providence, RI, Grandchildren; Fritz Coyro, Paul & Jodi Coyro, Matthew & Kristen Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Joshua Andrews, Gabe & Lisa Andrews, Luke & Andrea Andrews, Peter Andrews, Ingrid Anderson, Kristen Anderson Erica Anderson, Hans Anderson, Fritz & Brooke Lenneman, Libby Lenneman, Charlie Lenneman, Hallie Lenneman, Leigha Anderson, Claire Anderson, Hal Vogel, and Willie Vogel, 2 great grandchildren; Ben Andrews & Finn Andrews, much loved nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Gretchen Anderson, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Memorials may be made to Gratiot County Commission on Aging. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
