Elizabeth E. Carland age 81 of Corunna died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan. She was retired from the State of Michigan Unemployment Office in Owosso.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, Michigan. Rev. Gregory Tournoux will officiate and burial will take place in Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, Michigan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Elizabeth was born on January 28, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of George & Lillian ( Kording ) Butler. She graduated from Owosso High School. Elizabeth married James C. Carland, he died on January 12, 1983. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Owosso, Michigan, she resided most of her life in the Corunna area.
Survivors include her Cousin Lester "Jim" Dietz of Ukiah, California, Brother & sister in law, Joe & Margie Carland of Bay City, Michigan, sister in laws, Mary Jane Carland of Birmingham, Michigan and Adena Butler of Owosso, Michigan, nieces & nephews also survive her.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donora�(TM)s choice in her memory. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
