Elizabeth Cook

Elizabeth Cora Cook, age 94, of Sumner, Michigan, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Country Friends Assisted Living.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 12-2 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.  Burial will take place at Elm Hall Cemetery in Gratiot County, Michigan.  There will be no formal funeral services.

Elizabeth was born in Alma, Michigan on March 25, 1927, the daughter of John William and Hazel Lydia (Lewis) Coonrod.  She graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1945.

On September 14, 1946 she married Leslie Cook in St. Louis, Michigan.  They were blessed with 50 years of marriage prior to Leslie’s passing on April 19, 1996.  Elizabeth enjoyed dancing, reading and going to the movies. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed being with them.

She is survived by her children: Linda Breidinger, Jan and Ken Woodcock, and son Mike Cook; 5 grandchildren: Mike and Kerri Breidinger, Hope Breidinger, Josh and Wendy Woodcock, Jacob Woodcock, and Bryan Woodcock.  She is also survived by 4 great- grandchildren: Gwen, Lincoln, Parker and Kora.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, one son William, and one brother Dale.
