Elizabeth Hutchings, age 90, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village, Owosso, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday September 12, 2009, at 3:00 P.M., Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 11:00-3:00 PM. prior to the service at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Elizabeth was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 3, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Drisko) Makara. Elizabeth married Frank Hutchings on April 4, 1936 in Bennington, MI. He passed away on April 18, 2008. She resided most of her life in Laingsburg and Owosso.

Elizabeth was a member of the Bobbin Robins Good Sam Camping Club. She enjoyed doing crafts with her husband, painting the toy trains and games he crafted out of wood. Elizabeth loved to play cards, enjoyed sewing and gardening. Elizabeth also has a special friend who still visited her, Petie, a chicken she raised since he was hatched 7 years ago.

She is survived by son Neuman and Bonnie Hutchings of Ohio, daughter Nancy and Joseph Robinson of Perry, MI, 7 grandchildren; Jennifer Hutchings, Shaun and Kim Hutchings, Bonnie and Jim Gee, Barbara and Daniel Beatty, Timothy and Nina Purves, Lisa and Jim Harner and Laura Purves. Elizabeth is also survived by many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, daughter Patricia Eissa and other well loved siblings.
