Ella Ruth Huntoon age 88 of St. Louis, Michigan died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Schnepp Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan. Graveside services will be held at Bailey Cemetery, Alma, Michigan on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Marvin Potteiger will officiate.
Ella was born in Carland, Michigan on October 18, 1918 the daughter of Garry Gladstone & Mabel (Downey) Lyons and resided most of her life in Gratiot County area. She had graduated from Howley Schools in Porter Township, Midland County. Ella and Ernie Huntoon were married on March 21, 1941 in Midland County, Michigan, and she enjoyed gardening and making bread for people. She liked to take care of others and help them out and she also enjoyed serving the Lord.
Ella was a member of the Brethren in Christ in Midland County, Michigan.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Huntoon of St. Louis, MI, 3 children, Cheryl & Tom Wale of St. Louis, MI, David & Carol Huntoon of Shippensburg, PA, Yvonne & Richard Engle of Penscreek, PA, 7 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Beulah Lyons of Mechanicburg, PA, Rozella Lyons of Owosso, MI, Elva & Kenneth Bulgrien of Sandusky, MI, Loa Buckwalter of Rio Rancho, NM, 2 brothers, Vernon Lyons of Venice, FL, Clare Lyons of Owosso, MI, several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 son Eldon Huntoon & 1 sister Alice Cobb.
Memorials may be made to the Brethren in Christ Church or St. Louis Wesleyan Church.
