Ellen Sue "Ellie" Feldpausch

      Ellen Sue Feldpausch, age 65, of Fowler, MI, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at her home, with her family by her side.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, with Rev. Fr. John Whitlock presiding.  Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI.  Visitation will be held from 2-8 P.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Goerge Chapel.

      Ellen was born in St. Johns, Michigan on February 5, 1958, the daughter of Kenneth Raymond and Marie Elizabeth (Schafer) Feldpausch. She graduated from Fowler High School with the class of 1976.  On March 12, 2010, Ellie married Dan Mason in St. Johns, Michigan. They have been married thirteen years.

      Ellie loved playing cards and going to casinos. She enjoyed time at the cottage on Townline Lake. Ellie dearly loved her nieces and nephews and cherished her time with them. She worked for General Motors for thirty years, retiring in 2006, and was a member of the VFW Post #3733 Auxiliary.

      She is survived by her husband Dan Mason, siblings: Tom (Luane) Feldpausch, Judy Boak, Deb (Jerome) Schafer, Beth (Jim) Halfmann, and Jeff "Jay" (Kelly) Feldpausch; sister-in-law Linda Feldpausch, nineteen nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her step-children: Cathy Jo Buchanan, Linda Marie Allen, Jessica Denton, Evelyn (Adam) VanderCook, and Karry Mason; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Clara "Ann" Lofton, and three brothers-in-law: Earl L. (Terry) Mason, Gene Sample, and Jay Sample.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Terry Feldpausch, and one brother-in-law David Boak.
