Ellen Morrow

Ellen M. "Dolly" Morrow age 71 of St. Louis, MI passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

A Memorial Luncheon will be held at St. Louis VFW Post 3055 on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 2-4 P.M. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes in St. Louis, MI.

Ellen was born in Munising, MI on April 20, 1945 the daughter of Swan and Margaret (Hawkins) Lindeblad.  Dolly graduated from Munising High School with the class of 1963.  She then went on to attend Delta Beauty School in Alma, MI.  She married Lyle "Joe" Morrow on September 29, 1967 in St. Louis, MI.

Dolly worked at the Munising Papermill as a secretary for the manager for 3 years.  She also was a hairdresser for 3 years.  Dolly raised her three children and helped her husband Joe with his used auto business and utility trailers business.  She and Joe enjoyed spending time in the U.P at their cabin in the woods.  She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution for several years and a life member of the St. Louis Auxiliary VFW Post 3055.

She is survived by her husband Joe Morrow of St. Louis, MI, children; Rick and Stephanie Morrow of Alma, MI, Michael Morrow of Munising, MI, and Charlotte Morrow of St. Louis, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Earl and Bill and sister Charlotte.
