Elmer Duane Cutler age 86, of Owosso, Michigan, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County, Owosso, Michigan.

Elmer was born in Muir, Michigan, on September 17, 1929, the son of Elmer DeLos and Myrtle Mae (Bacon) Cutler.  Elmer served in the U.S. Army as a Private in the Korean War. Elmer married Glenna Burl.  He retired from Motor Wheel Lansing, Michigan.  Elmer enjoyed helping others in need and working on projects.  He loved snowbirding with Glenna in AZ and living there with Sher.  One of his favorite things was getting in the truck in the morning with no special place in mind and enjoying the day until the sun went down.  Elmer enjoyed watching the farmer’s fields.  He became very bonded with Indy, Sher’s Siamese cat.  He was always very active, loved to socialize, put puzzles together, and he loved animals.

He is survived by his children: Cindy Lazaroff of Lansing, MI, Sher Welch-Cutler of Owosso, MI; grandkids: Bill of Lansing, Bobbie Jo of Williamston, Becky of Lansing, great-grandchildren; Samantha, Tyler, Kirsten, Cierra, Christian, and Liam; niece Camilla and Kenton Eavey of Lyons, MI; great-niece Kimberlee Cutler and Jack Russell of Brighton, MI; great-nephew Bryant Cutler of Gregory, MI; special friends:  Bill and Wilma Angell of Ovid, MI; Dan Owen, Owosso; and all his friends at the Ovid Carriage Towne Place Apartments.  He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, brothers; Raymond and Marvin Cutler, and great great-nephew Mason Cutler.
