Elsie Lenore Brandal, age 92, of Ithaca, MI died Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at Ithaca First Church of God on Tuesday, April 20th at 11:00 A.M. Pastor James Conn will officiate. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca chapel.

Elsie was born in Bloomdale, Ohio on March 21, 1918, the daughter of James Clark and Sophia Evangeline (Frankfather) Mills. She graduated Perrinton High School with the class of 1936. She was married to Murl D. Brandal on November 23, 1936. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1947. Elsie resided most of her life in the Ithaca area. She retired from Wolverine World Wide in 1984, after 25 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at Peters Motel in Ithaca, and Ithaca Roller Mills. Elsie was an avid reader, and enjoyed her "posies" in her garden. She was a member of Ithaca Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda and James Malbone of Scottsdale, AZ; son Don and Kathleen Brandal of Perrinton, MI; brother James Mills of Pompeii, MI; 5 grandchildren: Jami Malbone of Scottsdale, AZ, David Malbone of Indiana, Anita and Paul Kline of Indiana, Debby and Greg Snyder of Elsie, MI, Darrin and Sharon Brandal of Redford, MI; 5 great grandchildren Wesley Malbone, Shelby & Aurora Snider, and Max & Peter Brandal. She is also survived by several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, a daughter, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers
