Emil Edward Spindler beloved husband died Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Michigan Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan at the age of 86.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, Alma, Michigan Pastor E. Pankow will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan.
Emil was born August 30, 1918 in Freeland, Michigan, the son of Charles & Amalia ( Voelker ) Spindler. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1937 and attended the Saginaw Business Institute. On August 22, 1953 he married Georgia B. Hiles at the Zion Lutheran Church in Freeland, Michigan.
Emil was employed as an Office manager for Michigan Salt Company since 1945. He retired on October 15, 1978 after 33 years of services. He loved to play cards and putter in his yard and garden. In his earlier years he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf and bowling.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia B. Spindler of Alma, Michigan, 2 sisters, Marie & Alex Strecker of Freeland, Michigan, Esther & Guy Wesson of Frankenmuth, Michigan, 1 sister in law Marion Dorothy Woolever of LasVegas, Nevada and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Walter Spindler, and 2 sisters Hilda Strecker and Freda Sevier.
