Emily Ann Greening age 91, of Breckenridge, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

There will be a Private Funeral Service followed by internment in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI.

Emily was born in Wheeler Township, MI, on March 21, 1927, the daughter of Adam and Emily (Vlatovski) Horvat.  She graduated from Breckenridge High School with the class of 1945.  On June 13, 1948, Emily married Luther Greening in Saginaw, MI. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children.  They celebrated 54 years of marriage before Luther's death on August 2, 2002.

Emily, affectionately known to many as "Mrs. G.", was owner of Mrs. G's Needlepointe in Alma.  She and her husband owned Greening Auto Co. in Breckenridge, L & Q Chevrolet in Alma, and after retirement, Mr. & Mrs. G's Woodcrafts.  Emily and Luther enjoyed winters in Florida for over 50 years.

Emily is survived by 4 children: Susan (CJ) Davis, Leslie (Doug) Needham, Kurt Greening, and Julie (Mark) Sturdivent; daughter-in-law Janice Greening, 7 grandchildren: Lindsey, Laura, Kate (Chris), Matthew, Scott, Adam, and Andy; 6 great grandchildren: Shayla, Oliviya, Ava, Mila, Skye, and Abel.  She is also survived by brother Bill Horvat, sister-in-law Una Haigh, and many nieces and nephews.  Emily was predeceased by her loving husband Luther, son Gary, grandson Christopher, brothers: Frank, Stanley, and (infant) Martin Horvat; sisters-in-law: Alice Horvat, Gloria Horvat, Mary Horvat, Betty Greening, and Marlene Greening; and brothers-in-law: Quentin and Foster Greening.

Emily's family would like to thank Jeannette, Irene, and Shirley for the wonderful care, love, and friendship given to her.  Also, thanks to Warwick Living Center, Schnepp's Nursing Home, and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.
