Erma (Klapko) Buehler, age 99, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday morning January 11, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owosso, MI, with Rev. Father Phillip Schweda officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery Owosso, MI. Visitation will be Monday evening January 9, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Erma was born in Chrome, New Jersey on August 17, 1912, the daughter of Steven and Julianna (Posonyi) Bordash, and just a few months after her parents arrived from Hungary. Erma married John Klapko in Owosso in September 1930. They lived in Owosso for 34 years where they raised 6 children. Erma was active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and loved her garden, crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing cards and dancing. John passed away on November 5, 1964. Erma then married Harold Buehler on February 3, 1967. They were married for 45 years. Harold and Erma enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing and spending time with their children.
Erma leaves husband, Harold of Owosso, MI, daughter Mary Dasen and husband Alvin of Osocda, MI, son Edward Klapko and late wife Martha of Owosso, MI, son Steve Klapko and wife MaryKay of Terre Haute, IN, son John Klapko and wife Brenda of Owosso, MI, daughter Janet Ackley and husband Ken of Owosso, MI, daughter Karen Olszeski and husband Daryl of Howell, MI, step children; Larry Buehler and wife Dawn of Florida, Diane Simmer and husband Doug of Lansing, MI, and Linda Scramlin and husband Larry of Lake Orion, MI, sister Mary Losey of Owosso, MI, 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
