Ernest Frederick Huss, age 86, of St. Johns, Michigan passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Clinton Memorial Hospital, St. Johns, Michigan.
There will be no services.
Ernest was born in Ashley, Michigan on June 9, 1925, the son of Francis and Ruby (Bolyard) Huss. He graduated from Fulton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Ernest married Ellen Halstead on April 5, 1952, in Angola, IN. Ernest worked at Federal Mogul for 35 years. He loved fishing and tinkering in his home shop. Ernest lived most of his life in Clinton County. He was a member of the St. Johns V.F.W., American Legion, and Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Ellen Huss of St. Johns, MI, daughter Debbie Shipley of St. Johns, MI, son Jeff and Karen Huss of St. Louis, MI, son Willie and Beth Huss of St. Johns, MI. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister Laura Powers.
