Ernest Packer

Ernest Leroy Packer, age 87, of Edmore, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, Edmore, Michigan on, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Mike Riegle officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the church.

Ernie was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 11, 1928, the son of Frank and Nellie (Wise) Packer. On March 14, 1953 he married Dolly Wright in Detroit, Michigan. Ernie served his country in the US Army and US Marines. Ernie resided in Taylor, Michigan for 37 years, before moving to Edmore in 1991. He was salesman for the Railroad and then went to work for Kelsay-Hayes, in Romulus, Michigan until his retirement. Ernie and Dolly enjoyed riding their bikes together.

He is survived by wife Dolly Packer, 1 sister Wilma Reinas, 1 niece, and 1 nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers; Charles & Jim.
