Ernie Huntoon

Ernie E. Huntoon age 89 of St. Louis, Michigan died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Tendercare Nursing Home Mt. Pleasant, MI.

A Graveside Service will be held at Bailey Cemetery Alma, MI on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Nathan Shockley will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Ernie was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on April 18, 1918 the son of Guy and Bertha ( Holiday ) Huntoon. He resided most of his life in Gratiot County, Michigan. Ernie married Ella Ruth Lyons on March 21, 1941 in Midland County, Michigan. She died on May 27, 2007. Ernie was a retired carpenter for Whitman Industries. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed serving the Lord. Ernie raised registerer beagles for years until his hearing got bad. Ernie was a member of Wesleyan Holiness Church of St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his daughter Cheryl & Tom Wale of St. Louis, MI, son David & Carol Huntoon of Shippenburg, PA, daughter Yvonne & Richard Engle of Penscreek, PA, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister Lila Bender of Midland, MI, 1 brother Carl Huntoon of Au Gres, MI, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, 1 son Eldon Huntoon, 3 sisters; Lucy Sailor, Lillian Dringenberg, Hazel Bushree, and 3 brothers; Henry Huntoon, Leslie Huntoon, & Delbert Huntoon.

Memorials may be made to Wesleyan Holiness Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes,
St. Louis Chapel.
