Ethlynn Gurden

Ethlynn J. Gurden, age 85 of Owosso, Michigan passed away Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Durand Convalescent Center in Durand, Michigan. She worked with her husband at Gurdena�(TM)s Food Market in Corunna, and was a Deputy Clerk for Shiawassee County.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rev. Michael Peterlin will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Ethlynn was born on December 17, 1917 in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd & Mildred (Peterson) Terry. She was married to the late Arnold J. Gurden on September 5, 1936 at Ethlynna�(TM)s home. He passed away August 10, 2002. She attended First United Methodist Church and grew up in Owosso and spent most of her adult life in Corunna.
She is survived by 1 son, Terry & Chanya Gurden of Owosso, MI, 2 daughters, Luanne & Roderick Cox of Bancroft, MI, and Trudy & William Mills of Corunna, MI, 9 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 brother, Robert & Amy Terry of Linden, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sister, Vivian Furman, and grandson, Kevin.
Memorials may be made to Durand Convalescent Center. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
