Etta Jean Loznak, age 77, of Owosso, MI passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Avalon Hospice, Flint, Michigan.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso, on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Fr. David Fisher will officiate, and burial will follow at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 6:00 P.M.

Jean was born in Shiawassee County, Michigan on November 26, 1932, the daughter of Colon and Clara (Shuster) Loynes. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1951. Jean married John Loznak on February 10, 1951 in Chapin, Michigan. Jean was employed by Big John Industries and worked at Vescos Grocery for 13 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Owosso serving on the Altar Society with the St. Bernadine Guild. Caring for her home, family and especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren was very important in Jean's life. She resided most of her life in Elsie and Owosso, Michigan.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Loznak of Owosso, MI, 2 sons; Daniel and Kathy Loznak of Cheboygan, MI, David Loznak of Owosso, MI, daughter Patricia and Jim Goessling of Scottsdale, AZ, 4 grandchildren; Selena, Nadine, Amanda, and Cory, and 2 great grandchildren; Samantha and Julia. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister Sue Frazer and 3 brothers; Max, Rex and Bill Loynes.
