Etta Josephine Zamora, age 82, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at her daughter's home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Walter Katt officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 6-8 P.M and on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Etta was born in Harrietta, Michigan on July 15, 1929, the daughter of Earl and Wanetta (Ulrich) Porter. Etta resided most of her life in Owosso. Etta married Martin Zamora on July 8, 1967 in Corunna. He passed away on May 30, 2006. Spending time with her family was very important to Etta. She enjoyed playing games, and doing crossword puzzles. Etta attended Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, Owosso.
She is survived by 5 daughters; Sandee and David Farlow of Big Rapids, MI, Linda and Roy Coselman of Fowlerville, MI, Gerry and Terry Binger of Alma, MI, Angela and Dean Simpson of Owosso, MI, Dawn Park of Howell, MI, 3 sons; William and Cheryle Palmer of Owosso, MI, Raymond and Sue Palmer of Owosso, MI, Paul and Marie Palmer of Owosso, MI, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Cleo and Amelia Porter of Mayville, MI, Jerry and Lilo Plummer of Florida, and 2 sisters; Margaret Lopez of Owosso, MI, and JoAnn Henson of Florida. Etta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John Stage, and brother Ronald Porter.
