Eugene Benjamin

Eugene A. Benjamin, of Fowler, MI, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 92. Born February 20, 1922 to Fred and Cora (Patterson) Benjamin, he was a farmer and a member of Maranatha United Brethren Church in Perrinton. In 1952, Eugene married Donna (Ruedger) Benjamin and she preceded him in death in 2006.

Surviving are his children, Jerry Benjamin of Fowler, Roger (Karen) Benjamin of Fowler, Connie (Brian) Allbright of Freeport, and Bonnie (Ron) Cuthbert of Ithaca; grandchildren, Chris (Jenna) Benjamin, Laura (Zach) Lambright, Ashlee Benjamin, Sarah and Briana Allbright; great grandchildren, Collin, Aiden, and Ethan Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, Donna, Eugene was preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen Benjamin, one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns with Pastor Larry Mepham and Pastor Brian Allbright officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, May 5, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eugene's memory to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813 or Maranatha United Brethren Church, 118 W. Elm St., Middleton, MI 48856.
