Eulene Winsor

Eulene V. Winsor died August 17, 2009 at the age of 97. Born in Gratiot County, Michigan on April 27, 1912, the daughter of J. Amos and Mattie (Mills) Leslie. She was a homemaker, a member of Congregational Christian Church in Maple Rapids, enjoyed sewing, playing cards and word games. Eulene married Gerald Winsor in Ithaca in July of 1930 and he preceded her in death in December 1962.

Surviving are her children, Carl James (June) Winsor of Riverdale, Geraldine Jean (Kenneth) Gager of Alma, Glen (Carolyn) Winsor of Perrinton, Marilyn (Kenneth) Bentley of Riverdale, Lauren (Beverly) Winsor of Rainbow Lake, Leola (Roger) LaShombe of Rock Hill, South Carolina and William (Vicki) Winsor of Perrinton, daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Chuck) Gallagher of Perrinton, 37 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, 66 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Dellie Leslie, many nieces and nephews and step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Duane and 3 brothers, Ronald, Wayne and Roland, 2 grandchildren, Janice Arlene and Stanley Ivan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church with Pastor Jerry Kissling officiating, burial at Fulton Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Abbott Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 509 E. Main St., Maple Rapids, MI. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorial contributions to Maple Rapids Congregational Christian Church, 410 S. Maple, Maple Rapids, MI 48853.
