Eva Lucille (Louth) Clark

     Eva Lucille Clark, age 92, of Ovid, MI, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 15, 2023, with Mr. Kevin VanAtta officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

     Eva was born in Shiawassee County, MI on January 25, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Harriett (Easterbrook) Louth.  She was a graduate of Ovid High School.  Eva married Lloyd "Cliff" Clark on June 25, 1960, in St. Johns, MI.  Cliff passed away on April 18, 2019.

     Eva enjoyed gardening, sewing and sewing Barbie Doll clothes.  She was a caregiver to all family, friends, and animals. Eva was a rescuer to all.  She was also talented at making and decorating wedding cakes.  Eva made the cakes and food for all her family weddings.  She was very good at planning events. Eva owned and operated her own beauty shop called Lucille's Cut & Curl in Ovid. Eva was a follower of God and remained strong in her faith. 

      She is survived by her daughter Susan Dourlain of Birch Run, MI; daughter Jerry Ann Kimmel of Owosso, MI; daughter Judy Heinig of Ovid, MI; step-daughter Kay Hammond of Florida; son-in-law Gary Heinig of Ovid, MI; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren;  her sister Patsy Crandall of Owosso, MI; her sister Ann Skjerve of Ovid, MI; her sister Rita Domke of Ovid, MI; her brother David (Gene) and Penny Louth of Charlotte, MI; her sister-in-law Marty Louth of Ovid, MI; many nieces & nephews.  Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her infant son at birth, step-daughters: Connie McAlister and Toni Sanderson; grandchildren: Chuck Larson and Corey Sanderson; and her brothers: Edward Louth and Richard Louth; her sister-in-law Faye Louth.
