Eva Elaine Webster age 88 of Owosso, Michigan died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.
Memorial Services will be held at the Shiawassee Council on Aging (SCOA), MI on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor James Noble will officiate.
Eva was born in Rose City, Michigan on August 15, 1919 the daughter of Melville and Lela ( Straw ) Edwards. She resided in Owosso, Michigan for over 40 years and graduated from Rose City High School with the class of 1938. Eva married Harvard D. Webster on April 10, 1943 in Salinas, CA. He passed away on January 27, 1995. Eva was known for her wonderful baked goods, "treats" as she called them. Gardening and dancing were her passions. For many in the community she was known as "Aunt Eva" due to over 30 years of providing child care in her home. She contributed generously to bake sales, raising money for the Shiawassee Council on Aging (SCOA), Owosso Community Players, and various schools.
She is survived by her son Dan D. Webster (Mary Elaine Spencer) of Dargaville, New Zealand and Marmaris, Turkey, grandchildren; Karrie (James) Brazaski of Rio Rancho, NM, Jennifer Spencer (Derek) Sliman of Fort Myers, FL, Toby Webster of Seattle, WA great grandchilden; Eli Michael Brazaski, Kiera Mary Elizabeth Sliman, 3 sisters; Alma LeBlanc of St. Clair Shores, MI, Ione & George Valley of Owosso, MI, Verba Doll of Owosso, MI, brother-in-law William Fuhrman of Taylor, MI, and very special friend Jack Eastman of Clio, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Jack Edwards, and sister Mary Fuhrman.
Memorials may be made to the Shiawassee Council on Aging (SCOA). The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
